"'Holo Holo' means to travel, to sail, to move," says O'ahu-born Good Vibezco-owner, Dan Sheehan. This familiar expression is most often heardbetween friends as in 'let's holo holo up country', Sheehan says, whendetailing the festival's origin. Theinaugural Holo Holo Music Festival tookplace in Northern California at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University in2022, but "this event desires movement, so carrying Holo Holo to Las Vegasand Sacramento in 2023 is a natural progression for its fluidity." It will continueto move, so look for several Holo Holo locations in 2024 and beyond.For Sheehan, curating this lineup is more than just something on his to-do list."Growing up in Ewa Beach, O'ahu, island music and reggae were thesoundtracks to my childhood. These styles of music—the heartbeat of theislands—is the backbone of my work as a festival producer and venueowner.
