Sydney Griffin

Sydney developed a passion for reading and storytelling early on—growing up on a small farm by the river in the middle of nowhere Tennessee allowed her mind to wander, eventually creating stories of her own and enjoying others’ stories the most. That enjoyment followed her to college where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Psychology from Cumberland University. While there, she spent most of her time interning with Penguin Random House and with a Tennessee State Senator, gaining invaluable experience in both the corporate and government sector of the industry. She spent countless hours in university offices working with prospective students, current students, and alumni, which means she knows the ins and outs of Cumberland University like the back of her hand.

After relocating to Knoxville for her Master's degree in Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Tennessee, she discovered her love for building connections and celebrating every small victory because life is too short not to. Her expertise lies in research, with a special knack for connecting with media contacts and organizing press tours. When she’s not working as a teaching assistant, research assistant or with us, you can find her at a local brewery cheering on the Vols, sipping coffee while pondering life’s biggest questions, or wandering through the farmers market on the hunt for a dog to shower with love or the weirdest gift she can give to her family and friends.
